Cynthia Rogerson is a Californian writer who has been in the UK for more than 30 years. She’s published three novels and dozens of stories. She works as Program Director at Moniack Mhor, the Arvon creative writing centre near Inverness. She also works as a manuscript assessor for The Literary Consultancy, and for the Hi-Arts mentoring scheme. She is a Scottish Book Trust Live Literature author, and gives readings as well as delivering writing workshops in schools, and various literary festivals such as Edinburgh, Inverness & Nairn. She has been a tutor for the Arvon Foundation, Inverness College and Eden Court Theatre. She has worked with mental health service users, homes for the elderly, and hospices. She has judged numerous competitions, including the Dundee Book Prize, Neil Gunn Prize and the Nairn Art & Book Festival competition. She has four children, one and a half grandchildren, two rabbits, three hens, and her fiancé is a provost and play write. She prefers winter to summer, west to east, black & white to colour, old to new, coffee to tea, travelling to almost anything, has recently discovered scrabble and vegetable gardening so must be getting on, and wants more time to write.
