The problem of ethno-political associations of Naimans and other peoples of Sayano-Altai region in XII, and then, during Mongol period has been not studied completely yet. Naimans and their bearers origin problem was studied in the paper from the other point of view. The author sup- posed that the term could be close to the eight-formation tribe union Kangar Pechenegs, who had great influence on Altai tribes, including Naimans ancestors. The author thought that the term could be inherited by Naimans ancestors, and borrowed from Kangar Pechenegs. The Dubo and three-formation tribes of the Dubo tribe Achgi/Kanggach (Kan- gly) were examined like Naimans ancestors. Being in close ethno-political associations Naimans were mentioned to- gether with Az, Tumats (Dubo, Tumauts), Kuchuks and Kangly in historical sources. Tumats were one the first who upheld Duke Kuchluk and rebelled against Mongols. Ethno-graphical sources also confirmed related associations with them. The totem animal of Naimans just as the Tumats accentors Khory-Tumats (Yellow Dog) was a Dog. The author concluded that Naimans were ruled by an aristocratic kin representatives Az, but as an ethnos were of the Tumat-Kangly origin. The different ethno-political, ethno-genetic and ethno-cultural associations of Naimans with Az, Kangar-Pechenegs, Kuchuks, Ogracks, Bulgachins, Tumats, Oghuz, Kidans and other Altai tribes were studied. Based on studying, analysis and comparing of version of the epic “Manas”, given in “Madjmu at-Tawarikh” by Akhsikendi S. with late versions of the great epic, the attempt to define the role and the place of Naimans in the epic and the Kyrgyz people History at the stage of their Altai development is made. Обручева в геологическое и географическое изучение Якутии В статье речь идёт об итогах работы двух масштабных комплексных геолого-географических экспедиций 1926 и 1929–1930-х гг. на северо-востоке Якутии, возглавляемых выдающимся учёным-геологом, талантливым организатором науки С. В. Обручевым. Раскрывается его историческая роль в ликвидации последних «белых пятен» на карте страны. Даётся оценка орографического описания и картографирования хребтов Черского и Верхоянского, Юкагирского и Алазейского плоскогорий, что позволило географической науке развенчать мно- говековые заблуждения учёного мира. Приводятся данные об изучении оледенения под его руководством. Оце- нивается вклад исследователя в поиск и разведку богатейших залежей золота, свинца, цинка, меди, каменного угля и других полезных ископаемых, значительно обогативших минерально-сырьевые запасы северного регио- на. Даются практические рекомендации, разработанные С. В. Обручевым, по перспективному развитию горной промышленности, как важнейшей части народного хозяйства на северо-востоке Якутии.
