Саймон Спуриэр (англ. Simon Spurrier) — английский писатель и автор комиксов. Родился в 1981 году. В настоящий момент живет в Лондоне. Успел поработать поваром и продавцом в книжном магазине. Прослушал в «S.I.A.D.» (расшифровки в автобиографии Спуриэр не дает, но есть предположение, что это «The Surrey Institute of Art and Design University College») курс «Производство кино- и телефильмов» и за успехи в учебе получил стипендию на изучение сценарного дела в «National Academy of Writing», после окончания которой устроился работать художественным редактором на Би-Би-Си. Вскоре Спуриэр стал писать сценарии для комиксов, и в 2002 году был выдвинут на «National Comics Award» в категории «Best New Talent». Более всего Саймон преуспел в работе над комиксами для британской серии «2000 AD». Также он сотрудничает с такими известными издателями комиксов как «Marvel» и «D.C. Comics». Самые свежие его проекты — комикс «Gutsville» (художник Фрейзр Ирвинг), выходящий в «Image», и четырехтомная мини-серия «Silver Surfer: In Thy Name» (художник Тан Энг Хуат), выпускаемая «Marvel Comics». Кроме того, комиксы по его сценариям выходят в журналах «Warhammer Monthly» и «Judge Dredd Megazine». К настоящему времени Саймон Спуриэр написал три романа из цикла «Warhammer 40000» — «Fire Warrior» (2003), «Повелитель ночи» (2005) и «Xenology» (2006). Также он является автором романа «Prophet Margin» (2004), написанного на основе комикса «Strontium Dog», и одного романа из цикла «The Afterblight Chronicles» — «The Culled» (2006).В 2007 году вышел его первый самостоятельный роман, никак не связанный с межавторскими циклами, — юмористический «Contract».
